635 not working with CC2

I can get my 635 to work with WinTest and LCD Smartie, but when I try CC2, the taskbar icon stays orange, "CC2 Status: Starting" and the option to "Restart CrystalControl2" is greyed out. I've selected the correct COM port and baud rate and tried other COM port numbers and baud rates. I am using CC2 v20050724.

Any ideas ?

So the tray icon stays orange in color and never turns blue?

It shouldnt take more than say 30sec to start CC2 (icon to turn blue).

Ok, we'll need logging info to work out whats wrong.

Try this:

Open windows task manager, kill "cc2_service.exe", leave the tray app running though. When its killed the tray icon should turn red.

Delete all the "xxx.log" files from the "cc2_service" directory.

Right click on the tray icon, select "Start the Service".

Give it 60sec or so, then copy and attach the "cc2_service.log" file thats in the "cc2_service" dir to this thread.

The log file should ge me an idea whats wrong.

And thats where it stops?
Strange.

It points to the games plugin not starting correctly.
Try renaming "cc2_games.dll" to "cc2_games.bak" or somthing similar.

Ok.
Looks like youll need to do a bit of trail and error to work out what the problem is :(

Make a temporary directory somewhere and move all the *.dll files into that directory except for "lcd_635.dll" and "cc2_datetime.dll".

See if itll start then.
