634XE and Macintosh?

Hi,

I'm considering using a 634 XE for a headless server project, but the problem is my server will be a Macintosh, running MacOS X.

Developing the software I need won't be a problem for me, but I was wondering about the USB interface itself: Does the USB interface on the 634 present itself to the host system as a Serial device (or any of the standard USB device classes), or is it a custom device class?

If it's a custom device class, do you have any documentation about the command interface that would help me get the display up and running on MacOS X?

You can find the Mac drivers here:

You'll need to modify the drivers to include these device IDs:
Vendor ID: VID_0403

Device IDs:
PID_FC08
PID_FC09
PID_FC0A
PID_FC0B
PID_FC0C
PID_FC0D

That link no longer works, however I can get to http://www.ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htm. Which one of the FT* drivers I would need for a 634?

Let me know what version of Mac OS you're using, and I'll get a driver set up for you.

OSX version is 10.3 (Panther). Ill be using a CFA 634-TMC-KU.
