634 Serial lcd on mac os

New member
I have had my lcd with v1.3 for a while and have decided to write an example program with REALbasic that will allow mac users to test an lcd through the serial connection(which by the way works fine with a keyspan usb->serial connection)

I am encountering a problem that I hope you can help with.

1. Regarding output: I am making a slider to control the contrast, I output a chr(15) which is control-o, now when I include any number greater than 9, let's say 48 it has the same effect as if I output 8 and it also prints an "8" on the lcd. if I include a "\" before the number the entire lcd area goes dark. This is what the output statement looks like: serial1.write chr(15)+"48"
