634 Serial Connection?

Im thinking about purchasing an LCD but im pretty new to this stuff so forgive me if i sound like a newb...heh

I was wondering how the 634 is connected? Does it connect straight to the exterior serial port on your box...or can you rewire it straight to the mobo itself? If so where can i get the instructions in rewireing it straight to the mobo?

You can rewire it to work off of your motherboard, but you'd have to know the pinout of your mobo's serial header.

Otherwise it goes to an external serial port.
