632 older software?

I have a 632 version 1.2 . I have it lighting up with a cursor, but I can't find any software that will work with it. is there a major difference in the protocols that the newer software wont affect this older hardware? is there a test program I can use to make sure it's communicating well?

The WinTest should work.

Be sure to check all the baud rates.

no response I have done a loop back test with 2 serial ports, and double checked baud rates, 9600

Maybe check JPE and JPB, it might have been set up for an embedded system.

Here are the jumper settings from the data sheet:

Now after all that, it occurs to me that it is probably the cable. You need "straight-through", not a null-modem. Radio Shack has a 26-152a that works. If pin 2 on one end is connected to pin 3 on the other end it is a null-modem, and will not work.
