631 and linux

Trying to get my first 631 working with Linux 2.6. Everything looks good, ftdi_sio and usbserial are running. lsusb shows the 621 as bus 2 device 2 and devfs shows the the 631 as bus 02, port 02 cnt 01.. All looks good, but I can not get minicom or anything else to communicate with the display. What step am I missing.

The CFA-631 uses packets.

You can probably see the key packets come from the CFA-631 if you press a key with it connected.

I think the nightly build of LCDproc supports the CFA-631.
