I have salvaged a very large LCD that I am pretty sure is 1x26 character with a 9.5" diagonal screen. It has an Ethernet looking connector, which is what caught my attention, but it doesn't appear to be using any IP protocol that I can determine. Of the 8 conductors, three are ground, leaving 5. One has to be positive voltage and one could be the LED back light, then there would be 3 or 4 for coms. Could it be using SPI?
Can anyone help me figure out the pin outs of this thing and what protocol it's likely using? I'd love to use it.
