X-mas version of CC2 crashes Foobar2000

Hi

I'm running Foobar2000 v.0.9.4.1 (the first version on this pc)
I also have a 634-USB.
After I installed CC2 20061225 build 832 (X-mas version) (the first version on this pc)
I have trouble with Foobar2000.
It starts fine but when I hit play it gives me a "Runtime Error!".
If I remove foo_crystalcontrol2_09.dll Foobar works fine like expected,
When I reinsert it, it gives me a runtime error.

Of cause the question is:
How do I solve this?

I have had the 634 running with great success on my old htpc
with custom screens for nearly 2 years now.
It would really be nice to make it work on my new htpc aswell.

Seems the new versions of FB2K require the plugins to be rebuilt.

Check the forum again in a few days, I'll have a new version of the plugin up in the release thread.

Thanks, I didn't have any other zip-extractors to try as I was at work.
The selfextr. exe works fine and so does the plugin.
Thank you very much!!!

Now I just have to figure out again how to turn of the light in the display when foobar is not running.

Oops, I was a bit hasty there (was on my way out the door to a week long seminar).
The new version does still conflict, allthough not with the build-in plugins in Foobar2000,
so that part is solved.
Instead it conflicts with the foo_dsp_xover.dll
Foo_dsp_xover.dll works fine without foo_crystalcontrol2_09.dll in the run.
But with foo_crystalcontrol2_09.dll in the chain it still produces an error.
Without foo_dsp_xover.dll, foo_crystalcontrol2_09.dll works...
Conclusion: Together the 2 plugins produce an error.

Nobody has in the past 9 months complained about foo_dsp_xover.dll producing errors with other plugins.

Just to let you know that I can duplicate the error. In Win XP and Vista.

Of course, in Vista, the CC2 plugin does not work either. No output to the CF display is generated.

I have now looked more into this.

It seems as,
whenever any 3rd party plugin uses the center/sub channel,
the foo_crystalcontrol2_09.dll will make Foobar2000 crash.
So it's not only restricted to foo_dsp_xover.dll,
but also with plugins like the popular foo_dsp_atsurround.dll and foo_channel_mixer.dll

If the used plugins is configured to only use Front L+R and/or Rear L+R,
Foobar2000 does not crash.
But the second that center/sub is thrown into the game it crashes.
Non of the involved plugins fails if foo_crystalcontrol2_09.dll is removed

Awesome, thanks for that sleuthing, it will make the problem a lot easier to find.

I'm working on making CC2 Vista compatible at the moment (yes, I know I've been saying that for a while, but it WILL be done this week), and once that's done I'll be adding a quick save power-on screen option.
When that's done, I'll get this foobar2000 problem fixed.

Yes, I'm using the latest Beta. It is getting close. The plug-in problem with Foobar has been fixed.:) At least with the foo_dsp_xover.dll plug-in.
