Hi, we'll searching for an alphanumeric LCD type PC2004-LRU-GSC-H-Q aka (PC2004G) from Powertip. It seems is an obsolete type. We'll used this in HFC handheld controller . This type has an flex cable (pitch 0.5 mm) as an interface to the mainboard. We have to deal with the current dimensions. The LCD controller are an ST7066U from Sitronix.
If there missing some information , let me now.

Grtz

Petré:

Thank you for your inquiry.

There are a couple of ways to approach the problem -- and the approach would depend heavily on how many you need to build.

In any case, it would be a big help if you can come up with the datasheet. I did a cursory search but did not find a likely match. Front and back close-up photos at high resolution might help.

If you are trying to repair one unit, then the options are a bit limited. Maybe find an old one on e-bay or find another PowerTip 20x4 and use salvage parts from it to attempt a repair on the original module.

If it is a device that you produce and need to keep in production then we can very likely make a compatible module. There would likely be tooling for a custom PCB with the flex connection, as well as a minimum order. If that is your situation we can work with you on it. You can start a support ticket with the form here https://www.crystalfontz.com/contact.php and we can talk about the details.
