Screen editor and plugin question

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and to lcd's and have some questions.
I recently bought a cfa635 and would like it to work with GTR EVO/Race07/Race On:D.

The tire temps are in Fahreheit, where can I change this?
How do I get custom characters in CC2? I would like the temps to be shown like this 80-80-80 or with spaces in between.
Whitch plugin does CC2 use for GTR EVO?
I will use the lcd only with simracing, is there way to shut it down when not in use without removing the usb cable?

I haven't found it (yet:p), but is there a "how to" on making screens?

Thanks for the help in advance ;)

I reserve the right to ask more questions :D

Greetings,

Yes, the GTR plugin needs some updates :(
At the moment it supports GTR1, Race, GTL, GTR2 & Race07 and there is no metric setting.
Ill update the plugin in the next week or two, then get back to you with answers to all the questions you have asked.

As for a guide on the screen editor, there isnt one.
Experiment with it, you wont break anything :)
My suggestion for making GTR screens is to run the sim in a window (not full-screen), then while on the track, setup the screens in CC2.
That way you can see the real GTR data while setting them up.

Feel free to ask any more questions you may have.

Thanks for the quick reply :).

If you could tell how I get spaces inbetween the temps readings on the display, than I can start making the screens :).

In the screen editor, drag the "Static Text" item to where you want the space.
In the dialog box that pops up, just put a space character.

BTW, GTR Evolution is currently supported.
Ill get the Race On demo shortly to check for support in that.

Race On is also supported. It's the same as GTR EVO, Race07 and STCC.
I made some screens with the editor and all data from the game is displayed on the LCD, just not in metric.
The value's that I would like in metric are temperatures (fahrenheit > celsius), Car speed (mph > kmh), Fuel amount (?gallons? > Litres) and the pressure's ,tyre/fuel/etc, (psi > kPa-kilo pascal).

Are the value's for rFactor metric or imperial?

Can I connect the 4 leds on the left of the lcd to a value displayed on the lcd? Example: engine is overheating and a led turns red.

Damn I wish I could program :(

Thanks for the link!

But there are 2 problems I face. 1 I don't know whitch plugin is used( I gues it is cc2_gtr.dll and se_gtr.dll ) and 2 I those are the files, I don't know how to open and edit them.

Like I said, I have sadely no knowledge of programming/coding :(.

There has been a game update, I haven't tried the display yet but the game is now called Race On (in Xfire) instead of Race07. I don't know if that makes any difference, but I thougd I let you know :).

Interesting.
I have the STEAM version.
Both Race07 and GTR-Evo got updates a couple of days ago, but no name change for Race07.
Not that it really matters, they are all pretty much the same game, just with different content.

I shouldnt change CC2 support either.

Im having issues with compiling CC2 under Win7 at the moment.
As soon as thats fixed, ill release a new version of CC2 which will include an updated GTR plugin with metric readings.

Yes, sorry for the delays.

Compiling issues are solved.
Ive been working on trying to fix an odd Win7 x64 CPU use issue (with no luck so far).
Ive also added CFA533 support.

Ill release the new version on Monday.

Sorry to bump this Thread:eek:.

How can I set the latest Crystalcontrol to metric?

I'm using it with the Simbin games (Race 07, etc, etc) and the tire temps are now shown in imperial.

Apologies for the delayed reply.

The plugin should default to metric.

Its set to metric or imperial via the "cc2_gtr.ini" configuration file.
[general]
metric = true
Setting it to false should give imperial values.

Thanks for the reply :D.

Where can I find CC2_gtr.ini in windows 7 ?

It isn't in the Crystalcontrol install directory.
