632 fitting in 3 1/2 floppy slot

I was wondering if the viewing area would be able to fit into the normal size area of a 3 1/2 floppy drive. I know that the PCB would be larger than the size of the hole, but I am not sure of the LCD.

Here are a couple of shots of a 632 next to a 3.5" floppy disk drive. The viewing area on the display is slightly smaller than the drive face:

Is there a difference in the LCDs that come mounted in the bracket? I notice that they show up to be very flat against the plastic face plate, while the independent models have the plastic that recesses the LCD a bit. Is that removable or optional?

The LCDs are the same. We just chose to mount the LCD close to the mounting window on our drive bay brackets to minimize "shadowing" and to make the viewing angle as wide as possible.

The recessing may be that the LCD is being retrofitted behind an existing thicker material.
